This double ikat fabric is closely knitted and soft in feel and is more expensive than others as the other are not so closely woven. Ikat weaving is one of the most complicated and time consuming ways to pattern cloth. The weavers are highly skilled in this centuries old tradition. As the pre dyed weft yarns are woven into the cloth, the pattern magically reappears. Its just amazing that things line up the way they do, that all the measuring and dying and spooling can all be planned so well. The tools are primitive, they haven't changed since hundreds of years.
You can use this fabric to make Dresses, Jackets, Crafting, Clutches or Evening Bags, Embellish your clothes, Pillows, Drapery, Home Décor, Sofa Cover, Curtains, Pillow Covers, Outdoor, Quilting, Sewing, General, Upholstery etc use it for scrap booking projects.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS
- If you have hard water, you may wish to first add a spoonful of borax to the washing water
- Use lukewarm water and mild, non-alkaline soap (such as Ivory Liquid) or baby shampoo
- While rinsing, you can add a few tablespoonfuls of distilled white vinegar to the rinse water to neutralize alkali traces and to dissolve soap residue Or, add a few drops of hair conditioner to the final rinse water for extra silky feel
- Soaking silk for any more than a few minutes should be avoided
- Do not use harsh detergents that contain bleaches or brighteners
- Do not wring or twist; roll in towel to extract water
